It turns out, 2020 was by far my best reading year ever. That feels like a logical conclusion in some ways– I had a heck of a lot more time just being inside thanks to the pandemic. Hours I would’ve spend doing literally anything else were spent not being able to do anything at all. That is something of an exaggeration, but it feels true in my heart.

The thing is that sometime after we went inside, I just wasn’t in a headspace to read. Between March and July, I read just a handful of books, and that really is a guess, because I also stopped tracking my reading. And still, somehow, I managed to read 120 books.

And I loved a whole lot of them. Narrowing this down to 15 wasn’t easy, but I did it and I also ranked them. I hope you find a few that sound interesting to you and that you also love them:
